JUST IN: Residents Rendered Homeless as Rainstorm Wreaks Havoc in Ibadan

 

Heavy rainfall in the wee hours of Tuesday wrecked havoc on most parts of Ibadan the Oyo state capital, destroying electricity poles, house roofs, among others.

The torrential rain, accompanied by windstorm, brought down some high-tension pole wires, thus, cutting some areas off electricity supply.

Some residents of the ancient city have since been left in darkness, occasioned by the destruction by the rainfall.

The affected areas are, Idi Obi, Agugu, Oremeji among others.

The rain, which started around 2am, did not stop until after three hours. Though, there was no casualty recorded, properties worth millions of naira were destroyed by the rainstorm.
