The sitting of Oorelope Local Government PDP Leaders has ended in a stalemate again, as the consensus arrangement failed to produce a House of Assembly Flagbearer.

Leaders of the party converged on the Oorelope Local Government, Igboho, on Monday evening with a view to picking a Flagbearer for the party.

The meeting, however, ended in deadlock, as Leaders of the party from Wards 1, 2 and 6 of Obaago Quarters, staged a walkout from the meeting, insisting that it is the turn of the area to produce the House of Assembly candidate after Oseeke Quarters covering Wards 3 and 10 had occupied the seat of the Executive Chairman of Oorelope Local Government for two consecutive terms.

Leaders of the PDP in Obaago Quarters, including Hon Sarafadeen Yusuff Alani (Al Wajud), Revd Mrs, Adeboyin Oladokun represented by Mr Sikiru Odepe, Mr Asimi Adelakun (Apon), Mr Fatai Asipa, Mr Jayeola and Mr Hammed Ajila all walked out of the meeting citing injustice, unfairness and insensitivity towards the future success of the PDP.

According to them, the attempt to overlook the three Wards of Obaago Quarters, where the party had the highest votes in the 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly Elections showed that the contrived PDP Leaders are bent on ensuring that the party does not succeed in the 2027 elections.

The leaders called on Governor Seyi Makinde and the leadership of the PDP to be alert to the scheme of the few PDP leaders, who have been bought.
