Team Arapaja in Oluyole Local Government has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a fresh political development that further expands the group’s grassroots mobilisation across Oyo State.

The delegation, led by Hon. Ayobamitale Ibrahim and Hon. Kemi Adeyemi, was received by the APC Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Prince Dotun Oladipupo, alongside the member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Sadipe, and other party stakeholders.

The movement also attracted prominent political figures and community stakeholders, including Hon. Akeem Adigun Olowoake, former Special Adviser to the Deputy Governor; Pastor Seye Falade, former Local Government Youth Leader; Mogaji Ademola Taofeek; Baba Saka Otolorin; Hon. Odekunle; Alhaji Moruf Yoboro; Ajisefinni Ganiyu; Mr. Muniru Adeshina Bello, among others.

Speaking during the reception, Hon. Ayobamitale Ibrahim described the development as part of Team Arapaja’s ongoing grassroots mobilisation, saying the group was prepared to contribute its organisational strength and network to the APC. He called on members to work with existing party structures and engage communities across the wards ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also took a swipe at the APM, saying the latest movement had exposed what he described as the party’s dwindling grassroots presence in Oluyole. Ayobamitale said the defection of key stakeholders had “dashed the hopes of those who believed APM could sustain a formidable political structure in the local government,” adding that the development underscored the need for political platforms to build their strength through genuine grassroots engagement and broad-based participation.
Also speaking, Hon. Tolulope Sadipe welcomed Team Arapaja into the APC and acknowledged the political experience and organisational influence of Amb. Taofeek Arapaja. She urged the new entrants to integrate fully into the party structure and work with existing members to strengthen the APC in Oluyole.
In his remarks, the APC Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Prince Dotun Oladipupo, formally welcomed the delegation and assured the new members that the party belonged to everyone.
He promised a level playing field, inclusiveness and equal opportunity for participation within the local government chapter, while calling on all members to work together in the interest of the party and the people of Oluyole.
The development marks another phase in Team Arapaja’s political mobilisation, as the group continues its grassroots engagements and consultations across Oyo State ahead of the 2027 political season.
