JUST IN:NIDCOM Names Makinde’s Aide,Bolanle Sarumi as Adhoc Committee Member

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Diaspora Matter, Hon Bolanle Sarumi Aliyu was on Tuesday named as part of the ADHOC committee to design the mode of engagement of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisations.


According to the letter:
“As you are aware of, the Federal Government of Nigeria has established the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) by an act of parliament.”
“The commission has taken-off and its major mandate is to harness the resources, skills and talents of Nigerians in the diaspora for national development. This will observed would be achieved through engagement with the various diaspora organisation, be it technical, professional or socio-cultural groups.”

“I write therefore to invite you on your personal merit to serve on an ad-hoc National Committee to define the mode of engagement of NIDCOM with various diaspora organisations”
“The ad-hoc committee is advisory and set up to:
Identify the various diaspora groups, their locations, address and objectives. Their mode of operation in terms of impacting national development.”

Reacting, Hon Sarumi said the recognition is dedicated to His Excellency, Seyi Makinde who himself has become a role model for his colleagues with his track records over a year ago. She thanks the Governor for committing much resources to tackle human trafficking and slavery in the state.
