Leaders, stakeholders and party’s executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State have reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s Oyo North Senatorial candidate, Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan, promising to mobilise massive support for her victory in the 2027 general elections.
The assurance was given on Thursday when Ogunesan paid a thank-you visit to the local government to appreciate party leaders and members for their support and confidence in her emergence as the APC senatorial candidate.
Addressing party faithful, Ogunesan described Kajola Local Government as a critical political constituency whose contributions to the growth and success of the APC cannot be overlooked.
She explained that her visit was to personally express gratitude to the party’s leadership and members for their unwavering support and to seek their continued cooperation ahead of the 2027 polls.
The former Head of Service during the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi said she would leverage her wealth of experience in public service to deliver effective and quality representation if elected into the Senate.
According to her, the knowledge, administrative experience and exposure she has acquired over the years would be deployed to advance the interests of the people of Oyo North Senatorial District through impactful legislation and responsive representation.
Speaking on behalf of APC leaders in Kajola Local Government, the overall leader of the party in the council, Elder Michael Ariori, expressed confidence in Ogunesan’s competence and capacity to represent the district effectively.
He described the senatorial candidate as an experienced administrator with an impressive track record, noting that her understanding of governance and public service would be an asset at the National Assembly.
Ariori assured her of the total support of party leaders, stakeholders and members across the eleven wards in Kajola Local Government, stressing that the APC family in the area would work collectively to ensure her emergence as senator in the 2027 general election.
The meeting was attended by prominent APC leaders, including Elder Michael Ariori, Alhaji Isiaka Olalekan Salami (Obe), Mr. Wahab Alarape, Hon. Moses Babalola and Hon. Hamzat Ogunsola.
Also present were members of Senator Hosea Ayoola Alleluyah’s political group, including Hon. Salimonu Afolabi Borikansunwon, Alhaji Biliaminu Akano, Dr. Gbenga Ojedokun, Hon. (Chief) Abiodun Jagunmolu, former Vice Chairman and Political Head of Iwa LCDA, Hon. Gedion, among other party stalwarts.
