The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji (KSA), has intensified his grassroots consultations ahead of the forthcoming elections with a strategic visit to the leadership of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Ido Local Government Chapter.

The consultation, which formed part of KSA’s ongoing engagement with key stakeholders across the constituency, was aimed at strengthening relationships, fostering mutual understanding and exploring areas of collaboration for grassroots development.

The meeting brought together prominent transport sector stakeholders, including Mr. Adebisi Jelili, Kusela, Adeoye Jamiu and Monje, among other members of the PMS leadership.

Welcoming Engr. Adedeji and his delegation, the PMS leadership described his aspiration to represent the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency as timely and promising.

The transport union leaders subsequently expressed their support for KSA’s parliamentary ambition and pledged to work towards the success of his candidacy, while also assuring the APM of their support for the party’s candidates across Ido Local Government and beyond.

Addressing the gathering, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji thanked the PMS leadership and members for their warm reception and acknowledged the significant contributions of the transport sector to the local economy.

KSA assured the stakeholders of his commitment to inclusive representation, emphasising that his legislative agenda would focus on purposeful representation, empowerment, economic opportunities and inclusive development for all communities and sectors within the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.

He described the transport sector as a critical component of grassroots economic activity, stressing the need for policies and legislative interventions that would create an enabling environment for transport workers and other stakeholders to thrive.

According to him, effective representation must go beyond political campaigns and extend to continuous engagement with the people, understanding their challenges and advocating solutions that improve their livelihoods.

The APM candidate was accompanied on the visit by a team of political leaders and stakeholders, including Alhaji Akinsola Ayuba, Alhaji Musibau Emiola, Musty, Prince Labiyi, Hon. Omotoso, Hon. Hammed and Hon. Olumba, alongside other party chieftains and supporters.

The engagement ended with extensive discussions on community development, youth participation, economic empowerment and collaborative peace-building, with both sides expressing the need for sustained dialogue and partnership in advancing the interests of residents across the constituency.

The consultation further underscored KSA’s commitment to strengthening grassroots relationships and building broad-based support ahead of the forthcoming electoral contest.
