The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, has outlined his plans to address infrastructure, electricity, security, youth and women empowerment, as well as grassroots engagement, if elected.
Adedeji also declared his support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi’s governorship bid and other APM candidates across Oyo State and the country.
KSA spoke on Saturday, September 19, 2026, during an interview on Fresh 105.9 FM’s Political Circuit, hosted by The Mayor, where he discussed his campaign, development priorities and plans for effective representation of the constituency.
On road infrastructure, Adedeji said his approach would prioritise proper drainage before grading and other road construction activities, stressing that inadequate drainage contributes significantly to the deterioration of roads across many communities.
He said he had personally executed more than 70 projects and expressed confidence that he could achieve more with the support of the Federal Government if elected.
The APM candidate disclosed that drainage work was already ongoing on Odiosun Unity Road, while his team was compiling a comprehensive list of inner and link roads requiring attention across the constituency. He said the plan was to undertake grading and minor drainage works during the dry season.
Addressing the electricity challenges confronting communities, Adedeji said his team had visited more than 200 communities to identify their most pressing needs.
According to him, roads and electricity emerged as two of the major concerns during the consultations, while his assessment indicated that more than 70 transformers were either required or in need of rehabilitation.
He said he had personally assisted more than 10 communities with transformer repairs and would, if elected, pursue collaboration with relevant federal and state authorities to address communities without transformers as well as those relying on abandoned or faulty equipment.
On security, KSA proposed the deployment of technology, including CCTV cameras, drones and remote monitoring centres, particularly in border communities, to strengthen surveillance and facilitate faster communication with security agencies.
He added that traditional rulers, local government authorities and security agencies would be incorporated into the proposed security framework to ensure a coordinated response to security challenges.
On youth and women empowerment, Adedeji said his proposed programme would go beyond distributing cash or materials by combining skills acquisition with startup packages, support for establishing businesses and continuous monitoring.
According to him, the objective would be to help beneficiaries build sustainable businesses capable of creating employment opportunities for other members of the community.
Speaking on representation, KSA promised to maintain regular engagement with constituents through quarterly or biannual consultations rather than returning to communities only during election periods.
He urged voters to support what he described as quality representation and candidates who would remain accessible and responsive to the people.
Adedeji also expressed strong support for Governor Seyi Makinde, stating, “Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde, he has done wonderfully well.”
He cited ongoing development projects and feedback from communities visited by his team as part of the reasons for his support for the Governor.
The APM candidate further rallied support for the party’s candidates, calling on constituents to support Governor Seyi Makinde for President, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide Odidiomo for Senate, himself for the House of Representatives, and other APM candidates.
According to KSA, “We want our people to vote for good representation, quality and people that can serve, people that will be close to them.”
He added that the APM team would maintain continuous dialogue with the people after the election, regularly returning to communities to assess what had been achieved and identify additional challenges requiring attention.
KSA said his campaign would remain focused on grassroots engagement, practical development and accessible representation, while urging constituents to support the candidates he believes can advance the development agenda being presented by the APM.
