    Let’s Continue to Sustain Unity, Peace in Oyo State – Barr Bayo Lawal

    The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Bar Bayo AbdulRaheem Lawal has enjoined People of the state to continue the support they are giving the Seyi Makinde led Government so as to continue enjoying peace, progress and unity in the state.

    He disclosed this during Maloud Nabiy organized by the Joint League of Imams and Alfas in eleven local governments of Ibadan Land under the GrandImam of Oyo state, Sheik AbdulGaniy Agbotomokekere, The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, where four prominent Muslims of Ibadan extraction, Alhaji Akeem Azeez, Personal Assistant to the Governor, Sheik Hazeem Wahab Atere, Chairman Muslim Pilgrims welfare Board, Special Assistant to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdulazeez and Foremost Philanthropist, Dr Ibrahim Adelani were conferred with Merit Awards.

    Lawal acknowledged that today’s award which is first of its kind can be likened to vote of confidence on incumbent government as all the awardees are appointees of this government except one.

    In same vein, A non- governmental Organization,  Omituntun Strikers led by its Chairman, Asiwaju Lekan Oluwaji congratulates the awardees in particularly the Personal Assistant to the Governor of Oyo state who is also the Grand Patron of Omituntun Strikers, Alhaji Akeem Azeez whom he described as a model to younger elements in the state.

    In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Akeem Azeez who spoke on behalf of recipients of the award that He thanked the organizers of the maiden edition of the award ceremony in Ibadan under the leadership of Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik AbdulGaniy Agbotomokekere. He also thanked the Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for providing conducive environment for peace and progress to thrive in the state. He showered encomium on the Deputy Governor who also provided outstanding leadership qualities in which Muslims in the state enjoy cordial relationship with the government just like the state Governor, Governor Seyi Makinde.

    The event was graced by dignitaries from all strata of the society, Such as Prof KK oloso, Prof Aderinoye, PDP Secretary in the State , Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Prof Saliù Adelabu Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Mojeed Mogbanjubola, Commissioner for Environment, Chairman Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, Chairmen of 11 Local Goverment in Ibadanland, Deputy Speaker of Oyo state house of Assembly, Hon Muhammed Fadeyi led other House of Assembly members to the occasion to mention a few..
