    LG POLL 2024: Ibadan South East LG Ward to Ward Campaign Witnessed Massive Turn Out As Residents Laud Alawode/Ogundeji Performance (Video)

    As 27th April, 2024 set aside for the conduct of local government election draws nearer, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan South East local government yesterday began its ward to ward campaign activities amid fun fare.

    The campaign train which began at Ajet Bus Stop, behind Ibadan Grammar School, Molete in ward 11 witnessed large turn out of the party’s stakeholders, leaders, supporters and residents who came out to demonstrate their solidarity for the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode and his vice, Hon. Teslim Ogundeji and other councillorship candidates.


    While addressing the residents and supporters, the Director General of the Alawode/Ogundeji campaign committee, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige said that the incumbent Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Alawode and his vice were presented for re-election for their outstanding performance in their current tenure and for key in to the vision of Engr. Seyi Makinde led administration’s developmental drive in the state.

    Hon. Ige added that since they are doing well and made the party proud, they should therefore be allowed to continue in their mission to take the council to greater heights and complete what they have started.

    The DG, equally showcased the councillorship candidates from ward 11, Aljia Balikis Olajumoke (G-Biss) and Hon. Akeem Alarape from ward 10 to the residents and party faithfuls at their various wards.

    Some of the residents in each of the communities visited equally attested to the fact that Hon. Alawode’s performed well since he came on board and they were ready to show their appreciation by voting massively for him and other PDP candidates presented for the local government election.

    The campaign train which took off at Mapo moved round routes like Idi Arere -Molete-Odo Oba junction at Ward 10- Owode market, Academy-Ile tuntun-Ita Ege and back to Mapo Hall.

    Party stakeholders that attended the campaign include members of the Oyo State House of Assembly from constituency I and II, Hon. Modiu Akande and Hon. Yinka Omikunle.

    Others are, party Chairman, Engr. Sulaiman Adesina (World best), Alhaji Tiamiyu Abidikugu, Hon. Kunmi Adesina, Hon. Dele Ojo, Hon. Yaya Akinbile, Hon. Sunday Babatunde, Alhaji Dauda Yusuff, Hon. Nureni Aderemi, and all the 12 councillorship candidates.
