LG Poll: I Emerged Through Valid Democratic Process Not Imposition – PDP Chairmanship Candidate – Seun Olufade Declares

In a special radio program dedicated to the Celestial Church of Christ (C.C.C) on Solution FM 93.9 in Ibadan, Hon. Seun Olufade, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Ibadan North, pledged a renewed focus on engagement if elected as the chairman of the local government in the upcoming April 27 elections in Oyo state.

During the program anchored by Babatunde Olapade, known as “the great Babs,” Prophet/Dr Kolawole Olakanmi (Baba Onala) stressed the importance of religious tolerance, urging unity among believers. He cautioned against churches operating as mere business ventures.

Presenter Babatunde Olapade welcomed Olufade to the program, where Baba Onala affectionately referred to Olufade as his son, emphasizing their close bond.

When asked about accountability, Baba Onala assured the audience they could approach him if Olufade failed to meet expectations, but he said he is very confident that Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade will perform excellently well.

Olufade, sharing his background, mentioned his involvement in personal businesses and his dedication to fostering human relationships, which he believes are crucial for success in both business and politics.

He emphasized his return to university to study Politics and International Relations, demonstrating his commitment to gaining theoretical and practical knowledge.

Responding to concerns about his calm demeanor, Olufade assured listeners that his approach is strategic, aimed at addressing issues effectively for the people’s benefit.

He debunked claims of being handpicked, stating his selection as the consensus candidate was the result of a democratic process within the party.

Asserting his familiarity with the local terrain, Olufade listed various areas in Ibadan North, demonstrating his understanding of the community’s needs.

He highlighted his ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders across all wards to gather input for his administration’s blueprint, which includes youth development, elder care, security, education, healthcare, and increasing the local government’s revenue.

Addressing the lack of participation from other political parties, Olufade attributed it to their recognition of PDP’s potential victory.

He concluded by urging residents to vote en masse for him and all PDP councilorship candidates in the upcoming elections.

Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade was accompanied by his vice, Hon. Akeem Ayoade, his campaign director-general, Falana Adebowale(prince), Hon. Kazeem Oshoniyi, former caretaker chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon. Joshua Oladapo, Hon. Mayowa, Hamdy Mustapha, Ayo Elemo, and supporters.
