The chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming local government election, Hon. Oluokun Olusola Peter has launched his ward campaign today, 5th March, 2024 which comprises of Ward 02 and Ward 04 at Tengba Oyo.
The Campaign DG, in his address, urged voters and PDP faithfuls to come out in their large numbers on election day and vote massively for PDP.
He appealed that in oneness and unity nothing is hard to achieve, encouraged them to be their brother’s keeper and that by God’s grace all the party candidates will emerge victorious at the coming poll.
He then called the party chairman and handed over the money Arosad donated for the party to the PDP party chairman in Oyo East LG and not the campaign committee
While addressing the party members, the PDP party chairman, Hon. Sakiru Ojo, appreciated the Executive Governor for the dividends of democracy being enjoyed across Oyo state which earned him ‘Best Governor’ in Nigeria today.
He called on all voters and PDP members to ensure that the party wins both Chairmanship and Councilorship seat across all the 10 wards in Oyo East Local Government.
Hon Maruf Akinwande, the party stakeholder and former member House of Representative, was full of thanks and appreciation to the campaign team for finding Ward 02 (being the Ward of the Distinguished Senator Monsurat Sunmonu) worthy to kick start the campaign train of the party.
He further appealed to the party members to vote massively so as to bring success to the party at both local and state levels.
The party flag was handed over to the Chairmanship and the two Councilorship candidates in Ward 02 and Ward 04 respectively.
Present at the campaign rally were Hon. KK, who represented the Distinguished Senator Monsurat and Egbeda PDP party chairman, State Executives, the duo of House of Assembly Members in Oyo State, Hon. Olorunpoto and Hon. Gbenga Oyekola representing Atiba, Oyo East/West state Constituency.
Others are Hon. Nureni Alade from Oyo West and his entourage, Hon. Olaide Badmus, Atiba vice Chairmanship candidate and his entourage, representative of the party from state level, the PDP party stakeholder, leaders and faithful party members.
