LG Poll: Muraina’s Aide, Other APC Chieftains Join PDP In Ibarapa Central, Declare Support Hon Sola Adeleke
It was a carnival like moment for residents of Ward 9, as residents of Oke Isherin trooped out enmass to welcome the Ibarapa central PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Hon Sola Adeleke on Tuesday, 16th April 2024.
The PDP candidate alongside his running- mate Hon. Babarinde Rasheed were full of joy as they arrived at the Oke Isherin roundabout where they were received by PDP faithfuls and jubilant crowd who trooped out to welcome them.
The Director General of the campaign team, Yemi Atilola commended the people of Oke Iserin, Igboora for the utmost support they always extend to the Peoples Democratic Party.
He urged them to come out and vote for all the PDP candidates in the coming local government election like they did for Hon Ademola Ojo and Hon Adepoju Anthony as he admonished them to always be firm and honest, according to him.
“it’s very important that we become honest as much as possible in order not to commit an error of accepting the less suitable choice.”
I’m his remarks, the Peoples Democratic Party chairman for Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Gbade Akinlolu appreciated the people of ward 9 for the warm reception accorded the party.
Responding on behalf of ward 9, a party leader, Mr Olusegun Adegbite in his speech appealed to the people to rally round the candidates of PDP.
He urged them to avoid any unfriendly relationship with the oppositions that can lead to fight on election day.
He advised them instead to use their voter’s cards to make statements on the election day.
He cited the experience of Sola Adeleke under Hon Ademola Ojo as Ibarapa central chairman made him a competent, reliable, transparency and trustworthy.
A former aide to the former member representing Ibarapa Central/North federal Constituency, Hon Ajibola Muraina and APC stalwart led other members of the opposition party to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
Speak on behalf of other decampees, Mr. Taiwo Obey in his reaction declared that in as much he reserves his comments until after the April 27 election, he assured the party of their unalloyed support.
On behalf of the women, Mrs Oyewole Tawa requested for infrastructural facilities improvement once Hon Sola Adeleke emerges as the next Council Chairman as this has posed serious challenge to the community.
A PDP party chieftain, Chief Saubana dedcribed Hon Sola Adeleke as a trustworthy, reliable and dependable personality which made him an ideal candidate for the party and Ibarapa Central local government.
Elder Eyinade Elejire presence at ward 9 added to the campaign momentum, enhancing its strength and unity. He expressed his support for Hon. Sola Adeleke, emphasizing that the right person has come to advance Ibarapa Central to the next level.
Addressing the crowd, the PDP flag bearer and his running mate Hon. Sola Adeleke and Hon Babarinde Rasheed respectively, analysed their missions for taking Ibarapa Central forward once they are elected as the next local government executive, according to him:
1. Renovation of dilapidated building across our public health centres and ensure provision of drugs regularly.
2. Ensure all Security agents are well equipped for safety of life and property.
3. Assurance of Quality education system in our schools.
4. Subsidize farm tools, seedlings and equipments for farmers across community while assuring people of good governance during his tenure and pledge more votes and massive support.
The attendees included various stakeholders of the party which included Mr Gbade Akinlolu (Party Chairman), Chief Ademola Elejire, Mr Rufai Lateef (Iroyin Ayo), Hon Toriola Tokunbo, Hon Olayide Olanipekun (omo ogun), Hon Kehinde Adams, Chief Saubana Oladokun, Hon Sola Fakorede, Hon Ojelere Dare, Hon Monsuru Oduola (SA to governor),Mrs Rasheedat Oladeji (Party women leader), Hon Gbeminiyi Olaniyan, Hon Rasheed Okunlola, Mr Abusi Edumare, Mr Morakinyo Olawunmi, Mr Bashiru, Prince Oyewole (owóda) Abiodun (party youth leader) , Chief Bose Obey, Chief S.K Laoye, Hon. Rufai Lateef, Obey Taiwo, Prince Adeniran, all party ward chairmen and party faithfuls.
