Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on his installation as the Jagunmolu of Ondo Kingdom by the Osemawe of Ondo, HRM, Oba (Dr.) Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo.
In his congratulatory message to Gov. Makinde on Saturday, November 11, 2023, Hon. (Dr.) Adepoju said the installation is not only a recognition of the rare leadership style of Gov. Makinde but also an indication of his influence and impact, which extends beyond the borders of Nigeria.
His words: “Gov. Makinde’s installation proves that his exemplary leadership is not only appreciated by the people of Oyo State alone, but by all Nigerians and beyond.
“He is a paradigm of good leadership; his involvement in mainstream politics has brought pride to everyone around him, including the Yoruba race.
“Engr. Makinde epitomises everything required of a 21st century leader. This, in turn, has brought accelerated development to Oyo State, which has now become the most sought-after destination for both local and foreign investors. Without mincing words, this is the reason why this highly respected chieftaincy title was bestowed on him.
“I recognise his raw commitment to excellence and efficiency in public management, which is rooted in serving the people, and it is a joy to experience this one-of-a-kind leadership under Engr. Seyi Makinde.” Ibarapakan said
Celebrating the governor of Oyo State, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character praised the thoughtfulness of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Adesimbo Kiladejo, for finding Gov. Makinde worthy of the chieftaincy title, adding that the installation reflects the traditional ruler’s emphasis on merit, excellence and dedication.
Hon. Adepoju, however, wished Gov. Makinde strength and longevity to enjoy the chieftaincy title and all that he has laboured for over the years.
