An ally of Governor Seyi Makinde and former member of the House of Representatives, Barrister Rita Orji, has expressed her heartfelt sympathy for Governor Seyi Makinde and the residents of Ibadan affected by Tuesday’s explosion at Bodija.

In a statement personally signed and made available to the press, from her base in the United States of America, Hon. Rita Orji extended her sympathies to Gov. Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State, acknowledging the unfortunate incident that occurred.

“The news of the devastating explosion that rocked the heart of Ibadan was truly distressing.

“I have full confidence in your leadership and your ability to promptly attend to the safety of your people.

“I share in the pain and grief caused by the significant damages this incident has brought upon your state.

“I empathize with you and pray that God heals those receiving treatment and grants solace to those who have lost their loved ones.”

Hon. Rita Orji also took the opportunity to call on Nigerians to always report any suspicious activities that may endanger their lives.

She emphasized that this would greatly assist security agencies in their diligent efforts to prevent further occurrences and ensure the safety of the public.
