Ademola Omotoso, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the successful release of the pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, describing the development as a source of joy and renewed hope for the people of Oyo State.
    ‎
‎The release of the victims, who were kidnapped during an attack on schools in Ahoro-Esinle community, was announced on Friday after spending several weeks in captivity.
    ‎
‎In a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, Omotoso praised Governor Makinde for his commitment, resilience and contributions to the efforts that culminated in the successful rescue of the victims.
    ‎
‎”I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, on the safe release of the abducted pupils and teachers. This is a joyous moment not only for their families but also for every resident of Oyo State who stood in prayer and hope throughout this difficult period,” he said.

    ‎
‎According to him, the rescue operation has reinforced public confidence in the capacity of the government and security agencies to respond effectively to security challenges through collaboration and sustained commitment.
    ‎
‎Omotoso urged residents of the state to remain vigilant and continue partnering with security agencies by providing useful and timely information capable of preventing criminal activities and enhancing public safety.
