The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency is gearing up for the upcoming Local Government Election.
The Party presented flags to the Chairmanship Candidate for Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode and his counterpart from Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon.Ibraheem Akintayo.
The flags were presented to the two candidates by the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Party, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja.
During the presentation, Hon. Arapaja said he is presenting the party’s flags to the candidates on behalf of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde and National/State Chairmen of the party.
Speaking further, Hon. Arapaja revealed that all the PDP candidates in the state are people of proven integrity, who had excelled in their respective careers and so,the party would prove its stuff during the election, as the best with good intention for the people at the grassroot.
He then enjoined the good people of the two council to support and work with the PDP Candidates, to secure victory for the party in the coming elections.
In his own speech, the incumbent Chairman and the PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious in the forthcoming election without stress.
Hon. Alawode then urged the indigenes of Ibadan South East Local Government area and Oyo State at large not to relent in their support by coming out en-masse to vote for all the PDP Candidates for the forthcoming Local Government election.
