Senator Monsurat Summonu has enjoined Muslims to pay strict adherence to the teachings and emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad.
Senator Monsurat stated this in her goodwill message to Muslims in the occasion of this year’s celebration.
According to the former Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, love, peaceful co-existence and sacrifice were the virtues that Muhammad was known for.
Sen Monsurat Muslims are not only expected to imbibe the virtues teaching and teachings of Prophet Muhammed but must reflect same in their religious obligations to Almighty Allah and humanity in general.
She commended Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for promoting religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and unity among the residents of Oyo State.
She called on the good people of the State to keep praying for the success of the present administration irrespective of religious, political or ethnic differences.
