The President of the Multidisciplinary Finance Professionals Group otherwise known as MFP Group Nigeria and MFP Global Services, Dr Prince Oyebade Oyedepo, FCA, JP has advocated for the training of the people in the informal sector of the economy particularly the unorganized private sector on financial matters.

Dr Oyebade canvassed this position when delivering a speech at the just concluded Stakeholders Consultative Meeting on year 2027 budget with the Executive Governor of Oyo State held earlier today @ International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

According to the MFP
boss, the training program if embraced will provide people in the unorganized private sector with necessary knowledge on financial matters to propel them for profitability.

In his words, “the people in the informal sector cannot make much progress in business beyond their financial knowledge; that is why government should endeavour to train them to grow their businesses”.

According to him, the investment of government in this training program can never be a waste as it will help to advance the economy of the State and consequently improve the internally generated revenue of the State Government.
He solicited the collaboration of the State Government with the MFP to achieve the recommendation.
