The Multidisciplinary Finance Professionals Group under the aegis of MFP Global Services launched it’s maiden edition of Journal tagged, The Magnet last week Wednesday, 29th April, 2026 at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja.
The ceremony was witnessed by a traditional ruler, topnotch professionals, scholars, government functionaries and captains of industry from all walks of life.
The 190 page journal was reviewed by Dr Chioma Ojukwu, FCA, a Lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State represented by Dr Adebusola Sileola Akinbowale, FCA.
The Special Guest of Honour at the event, the Secretary to Oyo State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde ably represented by the Executive Assistant to Oyo State Governor, Alhaji Kolawole Ghaffar Bello, FCA eulogized the Board and Management of MFP Global Services for deeming it fit to impart knowledge beyond the lecture room. He considered it as a wonderful feat worthy of emulation. He gave the assurance of Oyo State Government to collaborate with MFP to train it’s workforce, retirees, artisans political appointees on financial matters.
The Royal Father of the Day, HRM Oba Lateef Olawale Awojobi, FCA, Loja of Lukosi Land and the Guest of Honour, ICAN Past President Dr Razak Jaiyeola, FCA gave goodwill messages.
Other distinguished personalities who gave goodwill messages includes, Senior Partner of Bakertilly Mr Wole Ogundeji, FCA, Partner of HLB Z.O. The Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Event, Mr Abiodun Adedeji, FCA and the Editor in Chief of The Magnet Journal, Dr Temitope Babajide, FCA had earlier given the background information leading to the advent of the Journal.
The President of MFP Group Nigeria and MFP Global Services who also double as the Publisher of the Journal, Dr Prince Oyebade Oyedepo, FCA, JP commended the group members, writers, reviewers and all stakeholders who ensured the actualization of the mission of imparting knowledge through writing of journals. He announced that MFP is poised to go into research on topical financial matters and also staring a multipurpose cooperative thrift society.
The Journal is comprised of 25 well researched articles written by renowned Authors such as Dr Prince Oyebade Oyedepo, FCA, JP, Dr Abel Aig Asein, FCA, Professor Emmanuel Onoja, FCA, Dr Abdulrasheed Balogun, FCA, Dr Afolakemi Saba, FCA, Professor Adeola Adenikinju, Dr Razak Jaiyeola, FCA, Professor Olayinka Adenikinju, FCA, Professor Samuel Olusola Faboyede, FCA, Dr Temitope Babajide, FCA, Mr Abiodun Adedeji, FCA and other seasoned professionals and scholars in the academics and private practice.
The event was rounded up with the various of awards of excellence to recognize the contributions of individuals to the advancement of financial knowledge and contributions to books of intellectual property. The program was anchored by Mrs Tolulope Olatoyan, FCA
