The lawmaker representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide has berated media reports that he is the preferred choice of Governor Seyi as a successor in 2027.
The lawmaker who is fondly called Odidiomo described the report as the figment of the imagination of the writer.
The House Committee Chairman on ICT said the rumour of his gubernatorial ambition was a big distraction from the mandate given to him by the good people of his Federal constituency.
Hon Odidiomo who was a guest on Fresh FM at the weekend, noted that those peddling the rumour are mischief makers who are envious of his political attainment and the prospects of a brighter political future.
The astute lawmaker urged people in the State, to keep supporting Governor Seyi Makinde in delivering the dividends of democracy to Oyo State people.
Odidiomo said the Governor, despite the meagre resources, had continued to construct roads, build schools, provide quality healthcare and other critical infrastructure in the three senatorial districts of the State.
He however said that God is the ultimate decider on who will become governor in 2027.
