

The Chairperson, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Inclusion in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniji Olajide, has firmly refuted any involvement in alleged moves to destabilize Oyo State, affirming her unwavering loyalty to the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.


In a statement made available to her media team on Tuesday in Ibadan, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency I said it became imperative to address the public in light of “recent misleading insinuations and calculated attempts by certain individuals to create unnecessary tension” within the state’s political space.


“It has come to my notice that unfounded and misleading claims are being circulated, alleging the existence of a hidden agenda aimed at disrupting the peace and stability currently being enjoyed in Oyo State,” she stated.


“I wish to categorically state that I, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniji Olajide, have no connection whatsoever with any such plot. I have neither been approached nor involved in any discussion, meeting, or arrangement intended to undermine the government of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde.”


Hon. Comforter emphasized that her stance remains resolute, noting that she is fully committed to promoting peace, unity, and inclusive development across the state. She further dissociated herself from any individual or group attempting to incite division between the legislative arm and the executive, describing such actions as contrary to the collective interest of the people.




She reaffirmed her dedication to responsible representation and her continuous support for policies and initiatives that advance the welfare of constituents, particularly in the areas of women empowerment and social inclusion.
