The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, has commended and applauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for fulfilling his promise to property owners and residents affected by the ongoing Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road project through the approval of ₦4.6 billion as the first tranche of compensation.

Hon. Akinleye described the development as a demonstration of responsible leadership, sincerity of purpose and a government that takes the concerns and welfare of its people seriously. He noted that the Governor’s decision to honour his commitment and personally engage affected property owners before the commencement of disbursement reflects the administration’s determination to ensure that infrastructure development goes hand in hand with respect for the interests and legitimate concerns of citizens.

Hon. Akinwole Akinleye further stated that the payment of compensation, alongside the reaffirmation of the 75-metre setback in built-up areas, represents an important step towards addressing the concerns of affected residents and strengthening public confidence in the state government’s approach to the project.

According to him, fulfilling promises is one of the defining attributes of purposeful leadership, adding that Governor Makinde has once again demonstrated that governance is not merely about making commitments but also about taking concrete steps to honour them. He maintained that this development would further reinforce the confidence and trust of the people of Akinyele Local Government, Oyo State and beyond in the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, The APM and his administration’s commitment to people-oriented governance.

The Akinyele Council Boss expressed optimism that the development of the Circular Road would bring tremendous economic opportunities, improved connectivity, infrastructural advancement and greater prosperity to Oyo State. He urged residents to continue to support constructive government initiatives while appreciating the Makinde-led administration for its willingness to listen, engage and respond to the concerns of the people.

Hon. Akinleye reaffirmed his confidence in the Governor’s leadership and described the fulfilment of this promise as another significant development in the ongoing effort to balance the state’s infrastructural ambitions with the welfare and interests of its citizens.
