National Association Of Oyo Students (NAOS), National Secretariat has honoured Sen Sunmonu for her sterling contributions to democracy, good governance, and service to humanity.
The Association honoured her with Exemplary Leadership Award urging her to continue to be available to her people
According to the President of the Association, after a thorough research among people at the top, the association discovered that Senator Sunmonu has performed creditably well as a grassroot politician
He stated that she is always connected with her people by traversing through the difficult terrains with landmark achievement and rendering numerous service to humanity.
According to them, Senator Sunmonu won the heart of the people of Oyo as a grassroots politician, this is evident going by the provision of the basic democratic dividends to the people of her people.
They also said that her philosophy , her concerns for her people makes her to always come to their rescue whenever the need arises, and she lives happily and peaceful with her state government, leaders and other political leaders.
Hon Oluokun Peter Olusola, the Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government who received the award on behalf of Dr Monsurat Sunmonu appreciate NAOS Executives and members for recognizing the impact of Mama in our Community.
The chairman said Sen Sunmonu was unavoidably absent due to her other commitment at the state level but her mind is fully with the Association
