    NEMA, OYSEMA To Collaborate With Relevant Agencies in Handling Disasters

    National Emergency Management Agency NEMA and Oyo State Emergency Management Agency OYSEMA have vowed their readiness to save lives and properties during disasters in the State and Southwest of the federation through collaboration with relevant bodies and organisations.

    The Southwest zonal Director of NEMA, Mr. Slaku Lugard made the vow during the stakeholders interactive meeting organised by the National Emergency Management Agency Southwest zone in collaboration with Oyo State Emergency Management Agency at the western hall of Oyo State House of Assembly complex, Secretariat Agodi, Ibadan.

    Mr Lugard noted that the agencies would do all with in their power to create more awareness on safety of lives and properties, adding that the situation requires proactive steps through effective collaboration among all relevant stakeholders.


    He encouraged stakeholders to put more of their best, and expecting them to get better on subsequent meetings.

    There was divers options from the stakeholders on how the agencies could be more proactive in the course of discharging their duty.
