New Appointees – Highlights
While still dancing in the euphoria of the new appointments doled out yesterday by His Excellency, Egnr Seyi Makinde, I wish to highlight some appointees.
1. Ademola Kamil Omotoso
The appointment showed a character of the governor not known by many. That Seyi Makinde as human can take offence and easily forgive. Not only that. Hon Waheed Biiro Akanbi, the outgoing Ibadan North Chairman is from ward 3. The newly appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, ‘Demola Omotoso, is also from ward 3. Can you see the give and take of the appointment. On behalf of my ward 3, I thank you the Fogbontolu of our time.
2. Stephen Akin Fagbemi Phd.
This Mogaji Fagbemi guy has a unique talent. Place him in any moribund department, he would make the best use of the bad bargain.
Fagbemi’s first public appointment in Oyo state was with the OYRTMA. A dreaded OYRTMA of the past years became a friendly and public spirited Traffic Management Authority loved by the populace.
The OYRTMA, that used to operate with PENAL LAW only in the days of ‘SHEU’, is now a CIVIL LAW operator. With Akin Fagbemi at the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, be assured of the total well-being of the staff and populace. Gomina Makinde, adupe.
3. Seun Fakorede
The appointment of Seun Fakorede as the Executive Adviser on Youth Matters is an assurance that Mr Governor isn’t a USED & DUMPED leader.
Recall that Seun was the former Commissioner for Youths in the Omititun 1.0. Therefore, the #alayonusos, go and #sempe. Gracias.
4. Prince Falana Adebowale.
One thing you may not know about this handsome ‘bobo’, myself inclusive, is that he is vibrant, humble and a finesse at his game. He was one of the leading chairmanship aspirants in Ibadan North before the Chairman Elect, Hon. Olufade OluwaSeun Onala was drafted into the tussle. Prince Falana physically demonstrated his capabilities and capacity as the DG Campaign for Seun Olufade. And you all agreed that Ibadan North had the best of the campaigns in Oyo state. I have no doubt, Prince Falana is the best choice available for his office. Oga wa, adupe.
