NGO Donates 25 Tables, Chairs To Oki Pataki Nursery and Primary School In Ibadan

Non- Governmental Organization (NGO), ‘The Pathfinder Helping Hand Association’ has donated 25 tables and chairs to Oki Pataki Nursery and Primary School, Oki Olodo, Ibadan.


This was disclosed to newsmen on Friday during the handing over of the furniture to the school management.

The General Secretary Miss association, Miss Jemiloun Boluwatife, who spoke on behalf of the NGO explained that it was with the aim of helping the pupils overcome their educational challenges that ‘The Pathfinder Helping Hand Association’ decided to assist the school to mitigate their challenges after seeing a viral video of the pupils studying in the floor few weeks ago.

Boluwatife said, one of the strategies to increase access to education, school enrollment and retention is an education scheme designed to significantly reduce financial barriers to education access especially those faced by vulnerable households.

“The finding of the assessment revealed some gaps in infrastructure which hinders learning in the classroom such as the absence or poor state of classroom furniture, specifically chairs and tables.

He added that this is the 5th time the organization would be donating to OYZA Orphanage Homes with various items such as books, cloths and food items to widows and homeless children.

Others include donation of pampers, babies cloths and soaps to nursing mothers at Oluyole Health Centre.

Receiving the chairs and tables on behalf of the school management, the Headmistress, Mrs Adegbaju F.A and other staff expressed their appreciation to ‘The Pathfinder Helping Hand Association’ for coming to the aid of the pupils to make leaning more conducive for them.

The pupils also expressed their profound gratitude to the donor by rendering various songs to appreciate the NGO.

The lawmaker representing Afijio State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Oladeji Oparinde is a member of The Pathfinder Helping Hand Association while Engr Oladele Samuel is the chairman is the founder and BOT Chairman.
