The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele has celebrated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde(FNSE), residents of Egbeda, Oyo State and Nigerians  on the 64th Independence anniversary.

Hon Sanda said “although the independence is being celebrated at the time that the country is passing through the most challenging period, nevertheless we still need to appreciate God that the country is still standing as one.

Hon Sikiru who is the chairman of local government Chairmen in Oyo State said, “this is the period that Nigerians need to remain committed to the task of charting a more progressive path for a greater tomorrow, noting that they must not despair but have faith that tomorrow would be better for the country.

He admonished residents of Egbeda local government and Oyo State to continue to support the present administration in Oyo as the government cannot do it alone but our collective efforts will also be needed to take this state and the country to an enviable height.

He stressed that, there’s no doubt that the country is presently faced with what can be described as tumultuous challenges, and also appealed to citizens to have faith that tomorrow would be better for the country as possibilities and opportunities ahead will outweigh the challenges.

Hon Sikiru urged everyone to remain steadfast and continue to stand with the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde.
