A group championing grassroot development, Omituntun 3.0 has described Rt Hon Dhikirulahi Adedeji Olajide Stanley popularly known as Odidiomo as the most popular and credible chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to succeed Governor Seyi Makinde in 2027.
According to the group, “over the years, one has not noticed the kind of thoroughness, caution and maturity with which Odidiomo is raising the bar of quality representation in his Federal Constituency and beyond.”
A statement signed by the Secretary of the group, Alhaji Akeem Oladeji stated the reason why the people are rooting for Odidiomo, “the House of Representatives Committee Chairman on ICT and Cyber security has created thousands of jobs, he is a youth- friendly leader and that he has the unity as well as progress of Oyo State at heart.”
“Our interactions with PDP leaders, stakeholders and elders in Oyo State serve as proofs that minds are made up on who the PDP should put forward as its candidate if the party seriously desires to win the 2023 gubernatorial election.
“Odidiomo has met all the criteria needed by a serious gubernatorial aspirant who is desirous of succeeding Governor Seyi Makinde as PDP flag bearer in 2027.
“The criteria include acceptability across Ibadanland and Oyo State, political viability, structures built over time and bridges built across the 33 local governments.
“From all indications, Odidiomo has passed in all the criteria listed. In terms of acceptability, the he’s already a household name in Oyo State.
” It is also a testimony that major stakeholders of the PDP are solidly behind Odidiomo’s project. His loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde is second to none.
Odidiomo’s viability is not in doubt judging from the successes he has recorded in his businesses, philanthropy and political life. The list is usually too long.”
