Ogbomoso LG Boss Congratulates Oyo PDP, Says Court Verdict Is A Victory Against Impunity
The Caretaker Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon. Oyeniyi Oyedokun Timothy popularly known as OOT has hailed the verdict of Appeal Court on the power tussle between the Oyo State Government and the erstwhile ALGON, he called the judgement a triumph over impunity.
In a statement made available to the newsmen through his Aide, Oyeniyi said that “the verdict is truly a victory over the reign of impunity, the court has shown its impartial arbitration capacity, and the victory is for the Oyo State people who are sincerely yearning for development of the State.”
“I sincerely congratulate His, Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde who is the supreme leader of our dear party and the Oyo State Government for his unrelenting efforts to see that the right things are done, the Governor has been contributing enormously to the progress of the state, the Local Governments as a tier of Government under his Excellency would be considered complimentary and a partner in service to the good people of Oyo State”.
He added that “there was a reign of impunity during the previous administration, individuals were living above the people and the law of the land, there were vagrant abuse of court orders and due processes, but here is time to re-right all the wrongs and bring back our state to pace setting in progress and development”.
The chairman concluded by advising his fellow appointees across the Local Governments and LCDAs in the State to be of good conducts, he said “it is a call for service to us, let us hold and guild this opportunity jealously, let us continue to complement the efforts of His Excellency, the people of Oyo State expect our best, let us give it to them”.
