The strength of our great party, the PDP, lies in its vibrancy, inclusiveness, and the diversity of voices within it. It is a party built on participation, fairness, and healthy competition, not predetermined outcomes.
While consensus remains a respected democratic option when genuinely agreed upon by all stakeholders, it must not be confused with imposition.
True consensus is built on wide consultation, trust, and collective acceptance. Anything short of that risks weakening the very foundation of unity we seek to protect.
Automatic tickets, in any form, undermine internal democracy. It shuts out capable voices, discourages participation, and sends the wrong signal to party members who believe in fairness and equal opportunity.
More importantly, it disconnects the process from the people, whose trust and support ultimately determine victory at the polls.
Elections are not won by arrangements; they are won by acceptability. Candidates who emerge through a transparent and credible process carry the confidence of the people and the strength of the party into the general election.
As 2027 draws nearer, Ogbomoso North stakeholders stand against automatic tickets that disguise as consensus.
We are uphold the values that have kept our party strong, fairness, openness, and unity. When the process is right, the outcome will always be stronger.
Say No To Automatic Ticket!
