The Okanlomo Oodua and Baba Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Dotun Sanusi has expressed sincere appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of Mogaji Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists on Saturday, Chief Sanusi said “This appointment is a clear recognition of dedication, loyalty, and years of selfless service to both the people and the traditional institution of Ibadan.”
He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the approval of Tegbe as Minister-designate and described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Mogaji Tegbe’s years of dedication, loyalty, and service.
The Business guru and Philanthropist noted his strong role within the Ibadan traditional institution and his contributions as a member of the Olubadan Economic Team under the leadership of Chief Onikepo Akande.
“Mogaji Tegbe has remained a dependable figure, bridging the gap between leadership and the grassroots, while maintaining the trust of market men and women across Oyo State.”
The Bada Olubadan further highlighted his connection with the grassroots, especially among market men and women across Oyo State, describing him as a leader who understands and represents the people. He added that Tegbe’s influence reflects genuine service and commitment to community development.
He emphasized that the appointment comes at a critical time when the nation seeks sustainable solutions in the power sector.
According to him, Tegbe’s experience and people-oriented approach will play a vital role in driving reforms and ensuring improved electricity supply.
“We are confident that his passion, integrity, and closeness to the people will usher in a new era of progress in Nigeria’s power sector.”
