The Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief (Engr) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has been officially appointed as the Patron of the Part Two Traditional Rulers of Ibadanland.

The Part Two Traditional Rulers of Ibadanland comprise Baales and grassroots traditional leaders across the six local government areas of Ido, Oluyole, Ona Ara, Egbeda, Lagelu, and Akinyele, forming a critical traditional structure within Ibadan’s socio-cultural framework.

The appointment was conveyed in an official letter dated April 13, 2026, and presented during a courtesy visit to the Okanlomo Oodua at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort.

The delegation of traditional rulers was led by the Baale of Oke Ogbere Elebolo, Oloye Adeniyi Mojeed Adebayo, who commended Chief Sanusi for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development, cultural preservation, and community leadership across Ibadanland.

Speaking during the visit, the traditional rulers expressed confidence in Chief Sanusi’s capacity to further unify and strengthen traditional institutions, particularly at the grassroots level, while promoting peace, progress, and inclusive development within the local communities.

In his response, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi appreciated the traditional rulers for the honour bestowed on him, describing the appointment as a call to greater service. He reaffirmed his dedication to supporting traditional leadership structures and advancing developmental initiatives that will uplift communities across Ibadanland.

The appointment is widely seen as a recognition of Chief Sanusi’s growing influence and impactful contributions to traditional governance and community development within Oyo State and beyond.
