

The Executive Chairman, Egbeda LGA, Hon. Sanda Sikiru has eulogized Governor Seyi Makinde for his infrastructure revolution and developmental strides in Olodo community and environs.


The Council boss gave the commendation while delivering his goodwill message during the commission of the phase 2 of Olodo bridge by Governor Seyi Makinde who was ably represented by his Deputy, Bayo Lawal.


“We were all aware that, without immediate and proactive intervention, the situation could have escalated into a tragedy with potential loss of lives, but the people of Olodo and its environs cried out through the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, who in his usual prompt and compassionate manner, headed the call without delay”.


Hon. Sanda expressed his deepest gratitude to the governor for prioritizing the needs of the people and for his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development as the road will undoubtedly transform our community, boost economic activity, and significantly improve the quality of life for all residents.


“It is well noted that the bridge does not only serve the residents of Olodo but also connects the neighboring towns and states, which make it a critical infrastructure for regional connectivity and development.




There were also goodwill messages from traditional and religious rulers including the motorists and residents of Olodo, They all commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering infrastructural development across the state, saying the bridge has enhanced socio-economic activities in the area of Olodo, while also eulogized the council boss, Hon. Sanda for his unwavering commitment to the development of egbeda local government.


It would be recalled that the bridge was devastated by the flood which led to the bridge collapsed following a torrential rain on July 3, 2023, a situation that has left residents and road users in agonizing experience”.
