Oloye Olalere Solomon: A New Era of Leadership in Irokoland and Akinyele

It is my privilege to introduce a transformational leader who embodies the values of integrity, hard work, and selfless service. Oloye Olalere Solomon, a highly respected businessman, has built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and community engagement. He is poised to leverage his unique blend of business acumen, passion, and dedication to advocate tirelessly for the interests and well-being of his constituency.

Oloye Olalere’s political journey began in 2007 when he first immersed himself in politics, contesting for a State Assembly position under the ANPP in 2011. Although that election did not go as planned, he returned to his business, quietly influencing lives positively while observing the political landscape.

A true son of Iroko land, hailing from Igbagbo Taiwo village, he has consistently contributed to the development of his community. One notable initiative was his donation of solar streetlights last year, enhancing the well-being of Iroko’s residents.

On January 17, 2025, Olalere Solomon, affectionately known as ERE, was honoured with the prestigious title of Otun-Akogun of Iroko land by the Kabiyesi Oniroko. This title is not merely ceremonial; it is a testament to what true leadership represents. Oloye Olalere has consistently served his people, unlike many politicians who only engage during election season.

The Kabiyesi emphasised that Hon. Ere is a “good son of the soil” who remains committed to Iroko. When informed of the title, he immediately pledged his support to ensure the continued progress of Iroko. How many leaders today can claim such selflessness?

The following day, during the grand Iroko Day celebration, Oloye Ere made another significant gesture. While many politicians merely posed for photographs, he demonstrated his commitment by donating N1,500,000 (One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to support Iroko’s development. This act was a continuation of his quiet support, often rendered without public acknowledgment.

Some may wonder why the CEO of KGSB is so dedicated. The answer is simple: he loves his people. Unlike others, Ere’s vision for Iroko is not driven by personal gain; it is rooted in genuine development. He does not wait for elections to demonstrate his commitment; he takes action, and his deeds speak louder than empty promises.

Hon. Oloye Olalere Solomon is not just the Otun-Akogun of Iroko land; he is the beacon of hope for Iroko and Akinyele Constituency II. The era of empty promises is over. Ere’s leadership signifies a brighter future, and the people are ready to follow.
