Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Lekan Balogun will confer the chieftaincy title of Aare and Yeye Aare of Ibadanland on Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta States, His Eminence Alh Dawud Makanjuola Akinola and Her Eminence Alhaja Mariam Olubukola Akinola.
This was contained in short statement sent to Goalpoacher News by Aare’s Personal Assistant, Architect Salam Azeez on Tuesday.
It reads:
“His Eminence Alh Dawud Makanjuola Akinola; Aare Musulumi Of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta States & His Wife, Her Eminence Alhaja Mariam Olubukola Akinola To Be Installed As AARE OF IBADANLAND & YEYE AARE OF IBADANLAND.
“This was unanimously resolved at the Olubadan in Council meeting held on Monday.”
