Olukitibi Felicitates Christian Faithfuls in Oyo West Local Government on Christmas, prays for the State Governor on His Birthday
The Executive Chairman, Oyo West Local Government; Prince Salami Babatunde Akeem (OLUKITIBI) has felicitated Christian Faithfuls in Oyo West Local Government Area on Christmas day.
He urged them to celebrate this Christmas with moderation by reflecting on the lessons behind Christmas which is a true reflection of humility and unconditional love of our Lord Jesus Christ to mankind.
In a statement made available to the Press by the Head of Information Unit of the Council; Mr Akindeji Olusola.
The Council boss urged Christians to emulate the humility of our Lord Jesus Christ who dropped all his glory in heaven, came to the world in form of a man, born in a manger to take the sins of mankind.
He stressed that love is the bedrock of peace and progress thereby advocates for more love among the residents of the Local Government Area.
Olukitibi also used the medium to pray for long live, prosperity and sound health for the Executive Governor of Oyo State; His Excellency ( Engr) Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde (fnse) on his 56th birthday which happens to be on christmas day also.
The performing Chairman particularly expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for leaving his comfort zone and relocate to Fashola Agribusiness Hub in Oyo West Local Government to celebrate his 56th birthday.
The council boss further stated that His Excellency didn’t just come alone but he was accompanied by a former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and other eminent personalities in his government to Oyo West which has never happened in the history of Oyo Federal Constituency as a whole.
Hon Olukitibi therefore prayed that the Governor would continue to mark his birthday in Oyo West annually as he did in Saki for three years. He said the experience would remain evergreen in the history of Oyo Federal Constituency.
The Chairman gave kudos to the the Governor for making this Christmas merry for workers and residents of the state by payment of December Salaries on the 15th day of the month, released of the palliative cash gift of twenty five thousand naira (25000) to workers and other benefits.
He therefore, likens the Governor to Jesus Christ of our time whose Birthday we are Celebrating.
