ONDO 2020: PDP Clears Agboola,Jegede,Olafeso, Four Others
The Peoples Democratic Party (PD) on Friday cleared seven aspirants that will participate in the party’s governorship primary election in Ondo state.
The Peoples Democratic Party screening panel for the party’s primary election had earlier in the day disqualified two of the nine aspirants jostling to clinch the party’s ticket for the October 10 governorship election.
The Yakubu Dogara-led screening panel declared the two candidates ineligible to partake in the party’s primary.
Dogara told reporters after the exercise, “Unfortunately, two of our aspirants did not pass the litmus test.”
He, however, declared that they are free to approach the appeal committee which sits on Monday to seek redress.
The aspirants cleared include, the Deputy Governor of the state, Hon Ajayi Agboola who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party, immediate past Zonal Vice-Chairman Eddy Olafeso, Okunomo Banji Ben, Ayorinde Bode, Ebiseni Sola, Eyitayo Jegede and Kunlere Boluwaji
