Political history is littered with array of leaders who have come, made their marks and stamped their feet on the sand of history.
We have seen very wicked leaders who became famous by making life difficult for their people creating paradise for themselves and families. Most of them were already in the belly of history only to be a reminder for those who display similar tendencies.
We have seen accumulating leaders who aggressively gathered what was supposed to be common wealth of the people for themselves , families and cronies.
Most of them left the world leaving behind wealth that never lasted for their prodigal children. Some who are still alive looked on while the ill-gotten wealth flees off without being able to help the situation.
We have seen compassionate leaders who lived for the good of their people. We have equally seen leaders whose happiness is tied to the welfare of their people . These leaders consider building people as their own castle and raising individuals as the pillars of the castle.
This type of leadership find emotional therapy and internal satisfaction in solving problems and providing the much needed gaps.
The compassionate leaderships under study consider people as their garments such that they are happy seeing people, never to be away from people until the people and the heavens identified them as men of the people.
I have seen leaders in our climes , Africa, West Africa, Nigeria, and Oyo state specifically for more than 4 decades and all these categories abound though, the compassionates are not so much on roll call.
Today and in Oyo state, we are witnessing evolution of compassionate leadership as personified by the amiable, generous, truly distinguished Senator , representing the very fortunate people of Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Fatai Omotayo Buhari.
Senator Fatai Buhari came on the radar of political representation less than 10 years ago and from the very day till today he has not ceased from answering his name ABDUL -FATAI, the slave of the Lord that opens the ways of mercy.
