About 100 members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) resident in Ido local government area of Oyo State as they stormed the premises of Agidigbo 88.7FM to chant their call on the man of the people, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat to become the next governor of Oyo State in 2027.
The people lamented that their many years of sacrifices and contributions to the PDP in Ido local government is being reaped by those aliens to the dedication of grassroot members of the party.
The Ido local government PDP members including youths, aged women and men and even widows, declared their readiness to associate themselves with the trending Oyo n pe o movement.
Representatives of the Igede tribe resident in Ido local government who were among the detectors alleged that despite their commitments to PDP, political benefits meant for party members were being sold to them.
While responding to the people, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat said even though members of the public have continued to call on him to join the 2027 governorship race, the masses must follow the recent statement of the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Dr. Hamzat said Governor Makinde had publicly declared that the masses will determine who will succeed him in 2027 and so the people should stick to the Governor’s belief.
