n a bold step toward expanding access to higher education, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke Ayodele has facilitated over 100 free JAMB registration slots for students across various secondary schools within the local government.

The registration exercise officially commenced on Tuesday, 17th 2026 as beneficiaries began the process of generating their personal profiles, a key requirement for completing their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Adeleke stated that the intervention was conceived to cushion the financial pressure faced by many parents and guardians amid prevailing economic challenges. He reaffirmed that education remains a central pillar of his administration’s development agenda.

“Our goal is to ensure that no qualified student in Ibarapa Central is denied the opportunity to pursue higher education because of financial constraints. Investing in our students is investing in the future of our local government,” the Chairman noted.

He further emphasised that empowering young people through access to education is a strategic step toward long-term socio-economic growth and sustainable community development.

The Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Olukunle Adegbemi, monitored the initial phase of the exercise, overseeing the technical guidance provided to students on generating their profiles. He commended the orderly conduct of the process and assured that necessary support would continue until all beneficiaries complete their registration successfully.

The following day, the full registration process proceeded at the OYSCATECH ICT Centre, where biometric capture and final documentation were completed.

Community stakeholders and school representatives described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that it reflects the Chairman’s proactive and people-centered leadership style.

The free JAMB registration scheme further highlighted Hon. Adeleke’s commitment to academic advancement, youth empowerment and inclusive development in Ibarapa Central.
