…Inspects Community Healthcare Centres, Schools, Water Projects in Ibadan

The Chairman, Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), Hon. Abideen Adetokunbo Adeaga has called on benefiting communities in the State to give proper maintenance to the agency’s projects in their domains.

Adeaga stated this on Monday while inspecting Construction of a block of three (3) classrooms with furniture, VIP toilets and Motorized Borehole at Ifelanlo community, Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government, Oloro-Olomo Community, Ido Local Government, healthcare centres at Ajinde 2 Community, Ibadan South-West Local Government and Olohunde-Ige Community, Oluyole Local Government in Ibadan, where OYCSDA intervened in the construction of health centres, provision of medical equipments and motorized boreholes with generators.

In his speech with the communities, he said if the projects are well maintained, it could be used for over ten years before any renovation work could be done on them.

He use the medium to call for more supports for the current administration under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde, adding that the State has done so much to impact the lives of residents positively.

“I am highly impressed with the work done. You have done the work of the future here, imagine somebody in need of first aid medical need, this has helped this area in aesthetics and healthcare services.

“I salute your dedication to this project once more, you did not divert the fund to something else that will make the work not to have standard.

“I seek your further support for the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde’s policies, programmes and actions, it is the only way we can get more dividends of democracy for the people.

“Please try and put up the best of maintenance culture so as to make the project last longer and sustainable.

“All these facilities, including the borehole can be there for ten years without any repair if well taken care of, please keep up this standard you have planted here,” he told the Community Project Management Committee (CPMC) members.

The Baale Olohunde-Ige, Chief Bantale Ige appreciated the Seyi Makinde-led administration, saying the community healthcare center project has changed the fortune of the people as there has never been any clinic from Olohunde-Ige to Idi-Ayunre that make up ward nine of Oluyole local government.

He said prior to the construction of the community health center, medical issues that required simple interventions like first aid had led to deaths of many inhabitants, because before victims could get to the nearest hospitals, they would have died.

He however pledged the support of the people of the communities under Olohunde-Ige towards the progress of Oyo State, as guided by policies, programmed and actions of the State administration.
