A prominent Politician in Oyo state, Mogaji Abass Oloko has urged a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo state, Barrister Adebayo Mutalubi Ojo SAN , to prioritise competence and capacity over any primordial sentiments as the political landscape in the state gears up for the 2027 gubernatorial race.

He posited that historical events concerning results of political contests had shown that power is never served A la carte and the stakes are high for the electorates of the state

Oloko’s admonition came in response to Ojo’s seemingly harsh declaration that the next Governor of Oyo state will be Oloye Bayo Adelabu, the current Minister of Power.

Curiousity of Mogaji Oloko emanates from ambivalent posture of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria , Barrister Ojo where he doubled down on his preference to vote for a candidate from a particular region outside Ibadan ( Bayo Adelabu region ) highlighting sentiment of fairness and inclusivity in the political Process .

Sequel to the above, Oloko called on Asiwaju of Ita Ege and a true son of the soil in Ibadan to consider a candidate that towers above all in terms of cognate experience , requisite exposure and unprecedented capacity to handle state Affairs.

He cited performance key Indicators such his achievements in the organized private sector and his top notch creativity while serving as Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.

Oyo state needs someone who could carry the torch of accomplishments of the current Governor ,Engineer Seyi Makinde whose records of service is the talk of Town:  regular payment of salaries, gratuities and Pensions as well as significant upgrades of infrastructure and creation of employment opportunities across board .

Mogaji Abass Oloko re-emphasized the crucial need for all and sundry to consider competence vis-a-vis individual capacity in line with their past records,if we travel on this lane Oloye Bayo Adelabu Penkelemesi automatically passes the test of time as a candidate to beat come 2027 .

Conclusively, Mogaji Oloko further urged the need for a leadership that prioritises the welfare of the people over personal or regional sentiments , adding that as the state prepares for the 2027 gubernatorial election , emphasis on competence and the interest of the masses remain central to the ongoing political discourse
