Oyo 2027: Rumours Won’t Stop Adelabu’s Rising Political Momentum  – Aide

An aide to the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and Global President of the Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youth, Comrade Femi Awogboro, has dismissed rumours circulating in some political quarters about Adelabu’s political ambition, describing them as baseless narratives promoted by “myopic and uninformed individuals.”

Awogboro made this known while reacting to speculations aimed at casting doubt on the strength and growing support behind Adelabu’s political movement.

According to him, the rumours are deliberate distractions intended to undermine the increasing acceptance and momentum the minister’s ambition continues to gain among the people.

In recent days, political discussions have been filled with claims and counter-claims about possible contenders in the race.

However, many observers believe such narratives are largely driven by political anxiety rather than facts, especially as Adelabu’s influence and grassroots support continue to expand across communities.

Speaking on the issue, Awogboro maintained that the rumours are politically motivated and should not distract the public from the realities on the ground.

“The truth is that Adelabu’s ambition stands tall above the noise being created by a few desperate voices,” he said. “Whenever a movement begins to gain genuine acceptance among the people, opponents often resort to rumours and propaganda in an attempt to create confusion.”

He added that Adelabu’s supporters remain focused on engaging the people and promoting a clear vision of development.

“We are not distracted by the imagination of individuals who thrive on spreading fallacies,” Awogboro stated. “Our focus remains on the people and the future. The growing support across communities clearly shows that many can see beyond these rumours.”

Awogboro also noted that attempts to discredit strong contenders are common in politics but insisted that such efforts would not alter the course of Adelabu’s ambition.

“Those spreading these stories are only afraid of defeat,” he added. “It simply shows they recognize the strength of Adelabu’s position and the confidence people have in his leadership.”

He expressed confidence that the will of the people will ultimately prevail, noting that the increasing wave of support for Adelabu reflects a strong desire for purposeful leadership.

As the political atmosphere gradually builds toward the next electoral cycle, Awogboro insisted that rumours will not change the reality on the ground, maintaining that the people will have the final say when the time comes.
