The 9th Oyo state House of Assembly will continue to work effectively with the House of Assembly Commission to bring much needed development to the legislative activities in the state.
The Speaker,Oyo state House of Assembly of Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin stated this during the launching of maiden edition Quarterly Newsletter of the Commission tagged The Oyo Scepter.
The chairman Oyo state house of Assembly of Commission Dr Abdulwasi Musah led other members of the Commission to present the maiden edition of the Commission’s Quarterly Newsletter tagged The Oyo Scepter to the Speaker of the Oyo Assembly Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin.
The Newsletter was established to show the landmark achievements of Both the 9th Oyo Assembly and the commission.
In his address,the Speaker Oyo state house of Assembly Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin said the Assembly under his watch would continue to support Initiatives that would bring much needed development to the state
The Speaker explained that the leadership of the house is working all round to ensure live coverage of house plenary session to showcase the activities of the house to the public.
The chairman of the Commission Dr Abdulwasi Musah lauded the leadership of 9th Assembly under the Speaker Rt Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin for working harmoniously with the Commission to recorded tremendous support within few months
He said the Commission has been given ultimate responsibilities for all matters relating to the upgrade of status of legislative staff,and the legislative arm of government in the state in line with the international best practices.
Other issues discussed at the programme include welfare of House of Assembly and Commission’s staffs as well as amendment of some laws relating to the house of Assembly and the commission.
The event featured special presentation of uniform to the Commission and House of Assembly staffs.
