    In the words of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan Northwest/Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide Odidiomo: As Oyo State marks its 48th anniversary on February 3rd, 2024, a sense of pride and reflection fills the air. We come together to celebrate the journey of our great state, its rich history, and the indomitable spirit of its people.

    This year’s celebration holds even more significance as we acknowledge the remarkable strides taken under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, particularly in the realm of knowledge work.

    Governor Seyi Makinde’s dedication to good governance, infrastructural development, economic empowerment, and social justice deserves our deepest appreciation.

    His visionary leadership has propelled Oyo State forward, with policies ranging from expanded educational opportunities to revitalized agriculture that are tangibly transforming lives and building a more prosperous future for all.

    However, as we celebrate our achievements, we must also acknowledge the challenges that lie ahead. Unemployment, inadequate healthcare facilities, and security concerns remain hurdles we must overcome. Yet, the indomitable spirit of Oyo remains unyielding.

    in his words;

    “I, Rep. Stanley Adedeji Olajide Member House of Representatives, Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, I am unwavering in my commitment to working alongside Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State to surmount these obstacles. We will continue to invest in education and skills development, foster an environment conducive to job creation, and ensure access to quality healthcare for every citizen. Together, hand-in-hand with our communities, we will strengthen security and build a safer Oyo State.”

    But building a brighter future requires more than government initiatives. It demands the collective effort of each and every one of us. As citizens of Oyo, we are called upon to embrace the spirit of unity, resilience, and innovation that has been the hallmark of our history. Let us join hands, share ideas, and contribute our unique talents to crafting a state that is not only prosperous but also equitable, just, and sustainable.

    Oyo State’s 48th anniversary is not merely a celebration of the past; it is a clarion call to action.

    Let us utilize this momentous occasion as a springboard to write the next chapter of our state’s story, a chapter overflowing with opportunity, progress, and shared prosperity. Together, we can make Oyo State a shining example for the nation, a place where every dream can take flight.
