The Legislative Arm of Government of the Oyo East Local Government, has extended heartfelt congratulations to their chairman, Hon. Olusola Peter Oluokun, on reaching the milestone of 100 days in office.
According to them, during his short tenure, Hon. Oluokun has made significant strides for the community. Notably, he successfully revived crucial equipment that had been inactive for many years, including an excavator, bulldozer, grader, and payloader.
This revival is expected to enhance the efficiency of local projects.
Additionally, the chairman has addressed outstanding debts owed by the local government to IBEDC (Ibandan Electricity Distribution Company), ensuring that all bills dating back to when the company was formerly known as NEPA have been settled.
One of the most notable achievements of his administration is the restoration of electricity to the local government area within a remarkably short time.
Furthermore, the MIKANO generating plant has also been revitalized, contributing to improved power supply in the region.
They unanimously said these accomplishments reflect Hon. Oluokun’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents of Oyo East.
The LG legislative arm said the community looks forward to continued progress under his leadership.
