The First Lady of Oyo East Local Government, Mrs. Egunjobi Oluokun Banke, in collaboration with the National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, Oyo East Chapter, on Wednesday held a special prayer session for the freedom of kidnapped Nigerians and for lasting peace across the country. The prayer which was held at Gate Entrance, started at exactly 10:00am,

Speaking during the session, Mrs. Oluokun Banke said the women of Oyo East could no longer watch in silence as mothers, children, and families continue to suffer from kidnapping and insecurity.



She called on government at all levels to intensify efforts to secure lives and property.



The NCWS Oyo East Chapter Chairman, who led the prayers, urged Nigerians to remain united and prayerful, stressing that “security is everyone’s business and prayer is our strongest weapon at this time.”


The session ended with prayers for victims in captivity, for security agencies, and for God’s wisdom upon leaders at federal, state, and local government levels
