Oyo East Chairmanship Candidate under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Olusola Peter Oluokun has enjoined residents of the local government across religious lines to develop a strong sense of patriotism in their quest to build a council that everyone would be proud of.
Hon Oluokun in his goodwill message to Mark the commencement of Ramadan admonished Muslims to use the unique opportunity offered by Ramadan to fast and pray in obedience to the dictates of the Holy Quran.
He said this is in fulfillment of the five pillars of Islam, as well as providing for the needy and less privileged in various communities.
The chairmanship candidate urges Muslims to use this period to strengthen their relationship with God and fellow residents by showing love and care for one another.
