…Lauds Rt Hon Ogundoyin’s Leadership
The lawmaker representing Oyo East/Oyo West State Constituency, Hon. Rahaman Olorunpoto, has provided an update on ongoing development projects during an inspection tour.
He confirmed that many initiatives are set for commissioning later this month, demonstrating his legislative’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, education, healthcare, and public services in the constituency.
During the inspection, Hon. Olorunpoto highlighted that the reconstruction of a block of classrooms at Ajagba village is currently 80% complete, with plans to equip it with decent toilet facilities. Additionally, a borehole project at Kosobo, supported by Pharm.
According to him, Remi Omotosho of Bond Pharmaceuticals and Sunrise Malls, is nearing completion at 85%, adding that another borehole in Cele (Transformer area) is 90% complete, while a newly constructed borehole at Agure, Ward 1, is now providing clean water to the community.
“The Enuoroba Culvert has also been completed and is ready for commissioning, facilitated by the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency. Moreover, a new police station at Fashola will have its foundation stone laid by Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, with an expected completion date of June 2025,” he disclosed.
Since taking office, Hon. Olorunpoto has collaborated with Hon. Gbenga Oyekola (Atiba State Constituency) on the renovation of the Customary Court, Grade A at Oke Ebo, ensuring improved judicial services.
He has also sponsored renovations for the Accident and Emergency Ward at the State Hospital in Owode, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to better healthcare.
In addition to his project oversight, Hon. Olorunpoto emphasized his legislative responsibilities, including sponsoring bills and motions to promote good governance.
He recently assumed the role of Chairman of the House Committee on Environment, Ecology, and Water Resources, which he believed will enhance his ability to advocate for sustainable policies.
The astute lawmaker lauded the sterling leadership qualities of the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, which has made it possible to attract legislative gains to Hon Olorunpoto’s constituency.
Hon. Olorunpoto expressed gratitude for the support of stakeholders, partners, and the community, reaffirming his mission to deliver impactful projects that improve the quality of life for constituents.
He called for continued collaboration to build a stronger, more developed Oyo.
