    Oyo Electricity Regulatory Commission: Hon Oparinde Hails Gov Makinde, Seun Ashamu

    The lawmaker representing Afijio State Constituency, Hon Oparinde has commended Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the Commissioner of Energy and Mineral Resources, Barrister Seun Ashamu for demonstrating the political will on the signing into law, Oyo State Electricity Regulatory Commission Bill.


    Hon Oparinde who is the House Committee Chairman on Energy described the Governor as a beacon who remains resolute in his resolve to develop Oyo State that everyone would be proud of.

    Goalpoacher News had reported earlier that the Governor had signed the Oyo State Electricity Regulatory Commission Bill Into law at the Governor’s Office, Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan.

    He noted that the Oyo State Electricity Regulatory Commission will enable the state to generate, transmit and distribute electricity as soon as the necessary facilities are put into place.

    Hon Oparinde asserts that Oyo State has yet again set the pace for other state being the first to sign the bill into law. He called on other state to emulate what Governor Seyi Makinde has done.

    He called on Oyo State residents to keep supporting the present administration as the Governor and his team, especially the Ministry of Energy under the supervision of Barrister Seun Ashamu continue to pilot the affairs of the state in the right direction.
